VANUATU!!!! (17th Oct- 2.Nov 2010)

Ambrym island is the only place in the world where you can see three active lava lakes and the Yasur volcano with its strombolian activity is just mind-blowing! I have decided to return to one of my favorite places in the world in October to further examine and study this with the help of Vanuatuan scientists.

We still have spaces on the expedition team. You need to be reasonable fit and a to be able to deal with living in an extreme environment -and still be in a good mood (at least most of the times. ;)  ) and respectful to the expedition team.

You get an exclusive photo course (nowhere I can show you better what expedition photography is about!), you will contribute to active science (If you are a scientist yourself- you are MOSTLY welcome to share your ideas/ research projects) and not to mention the unique experience: The first week, we will camp inside Ambrym caldera and the second week, we will study Yasur volcano and live with my long term tribal friends in a traditional village.

This is not a commercial operation- this is a trip on a shared expenses basis (depending how many people we will be, but unfortunately, Vanuatu is quite expensive...).
